ABOUT US

Hi, my name is Colin and I'm the Managing Director and founder of Major Oak Coaching Limited. When I started Major Oak in 2010, my initial idea was pretty simple. I wanted to help schools improve the quality of PE and provide exciting opportunities for children in our local area (the east midlands).

Since 2010 we have worked with hundreds of schools and thousands of children both delivering PE lessons in schools and at our Ofsted registered holiday camps.

Over the years, our business has evolved and now includes a sister company, TLG-PE. TLG-PE and Steps 2 Summit are resources available to Primary Schools for improving the quality of PE & Physical activity and, due to both being web based, allow us to impact schools further afield. We now support schools all over the UK with these programs.

My role is now predominantly taken up in a supervisory capacity. When Major Oak was founded, it was very much me delivering the sessions. Now I share my expertise of PE & School Sport in a different way, both through TLG-PE and supervising the fantastic Major Oak coaching team that work in local schools.

I am still very 'hands on' from a coaching capacity with many areas of our business. I still deliver our Saturday Morning Rugby sessions as well as all our outdoor activities (Forest Schools and Fishing!).

I am very proud of the impact Major Oak Coaching has had on children in the local community. It's always nice to bump into someone who came to our camps 10 years ago and still remembers me!
